Il Sistema dei Tempi Inglesi
L'inglese ha 12 tempi verbali principali, organizzati in tre aree temporali (presente, passato, futuro) e quattro aspetti (semplice, continuo, perfetto, perfetto continuo).
Non farti intimidire dal numero: nella conversazione quotidiana, ne userai regolarmente solo 5-6. Gli altri sono per situazioni specifiche.

I 6 Tempi Essenziali
Per comunicare efficacemente in inglese, concentrati prima su: Present Simple,Present Continuous, Past Simple, Present Perfect,Future con Will e Future con Going To.
Present Simple
Sogg. + verbo (+ s/es alla 3a persona)
Quando: Abitudini, fatti generali, verità universali, stati permanenti.
"I work in Rome." • "Water boils at 100°C." • "She speaks three languages."
Present Continuous
Sogg. + am/is/are + verbo-ing
Quando: Azioni in corso ora, situazioni temporanee, piani futuri definiti.
"I'm working from home today." • "She's learning Italian." • "We're meeting at 7."
Present Perfect
Sogg. + have/has + participio passato
Quando: Esperienze di vita, azioni con risultato presente, azioni iniziate nel passato che continuano, notizie recenti.
"I've been to London." • "She has finished her work." • "I've lived here for 5 years."
Present Perfect Continuous
Sogg. + have/has + been + verbo-ing
Quando: Azioni iniziate nel passato che continuano, enfasi sulla durata, effetti visibili di azioni recenti.
"I've been waiting for an hour." • "She's been crying." • "How long have you been studying?"
Past Simple
Sogg. + verbo-ed (o forma irregolare)
Quando: Azioni completate in un momento specifico del passato, sequenze di eventi, storie e narrazioni.
"I visited Paris last year." • "She bought a new car." • "They met in 2019."
Past Continuous
Sogg. + was/were + verbo-ing
Quando: Azioni in corso in un momento passato, sfondo nelle narrazioni, azioni interrotte, azioni parallele.
"I was cooking when you called." • "They were watching TV all evening." • "The sun was setting."
Past Perfect
Sogg. + had + participio passato
Quando: Azione passata avvenuta prima di un'altra azione passata, "il passato del passato".
"When I arrived, she had already left." • "I had never seen snow before that day."
Past Perfect Continuous
Sogg. + had + been + verbo-ing
Quando: Durata di un'azione prima di un altro evento passato, causa di una situazione passata.
"I had been waiting for 2 hours when she arrived." • "He was tired because he had been running."
Future con Will
Sogg. + will + verbo base
Quando: Previsioni, decisioni spontanee, promesse, offerte, fatti futuri certi.
"It will rain tomorrow." • "I'll help you!" • "She'll be 30 next year."
Future con Going To
Sogg. + am/is/are + going to + verbo base
Quando: Piani e intenzioni già decisi, previsioni basate su evidenze presenti.
"I'm going to study medicine." • "Look at those clouds—it's going to rain!"
Future Continuous
Sogg. + will be + verbo-ing
Quando: Azione in corso in un momento futuro, piani già stabiliti, domande cortesi sui piani altrui.
"This time tomorrow, I'll be flying to London." • "Will you be using the car tonight?"
Future Perfect
Sogg. + will have + participio passato
Quando: Azione che sarà completata prima di un momento futuro.
"By 2030, I will have finished my PhD." • "She will have left by the time we arrive."

Gli Errori Più Comuni
1. Present Perfect con tempo specifico: "I have seen him yesterday" (sbagliato!) → "I saw him yesterday"
2. Present Continuous per abitudini: "I'm working in a bank" (se è il tuo lavoro fisso → "I work...")
3. Will per piani già decisi: "I will go to Paris next week" (se già pianificato → "I'm going to...")
4. Stative verbs al continuous: "I'm knowing" (sbagliato!) → "I know"

Non cercare di padroneggiare tutti i tempi insieme. Parti dai 6 essenziali, usali tanto fino a quando diventano automatici, poi aggiungi gradualmente gli altri. L'obiettivo non è la perfezione grammaticale, ma la comunicazione efficace.
